The mission of Theatre@First is to work together to provide a fun, friendly, and creative theater experience for cast, crew, and audience alike. We welcome volunteers at all levels of experience and offer a supportive environment in which to work, play, grow, and explore new areas of the theater arts. We offer affordable and eclectic entertainment to the community, aiming to surprise, delight, entertain, and educate our audiences.
We fill an important niche in the vibrant Davis Square arts scene, drawing upon the talents and contributions of individuals and organizations throughout the community to provide a venue for thought-provoking and entertaining performing arts for all those who love to be on either side of the curtain.
T@F welcomes your support. As a community theater, our growth depends largely on the patronage of our audience members. Support T@F today and your donation will help ensure future productions.
2009 Update
We are very pleased to announce that we have reached an important milestone as an organization. Theatre@First is now part of the Massachusetts Community Theatre Corporation, a Massachusetts non-profit corporation that is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
In recognition of our new status, we have made important changes to the ways we invite the community's support.
Subscribers
SUBSCRIBER ($50): You'll get free admission to our shows for one year. We plan to continue with productions of plays or musicals, and add improv recitals and staged readings.
Contributors
You can support T@F with a tax-dedecutable donation. You may claim these contributions on your tax return.
SUPPORTER ($20-49): You'll be acknowledged by name on our website and in show programs.
FRIEND ($50-99): You'll be acknowledged by name on our website and in show programs, and will receive a receipt from our Treasurer.
PATRON ($100-249): You'll be acknowledged by name on our website and in show programs, and will receive a receipt from our Treasurer. You will also have access to premium reserved seating at each show with your ticket purchase.
SPONSOR ($250+): You'll be acknowledged by name on our website and in show programs, and will receive a receipt from our Treasurer. You will also have access to premium reserved seating at each show with your ticket purchase, and you will be invited to special events with the cast and crew.
