by Sarah Ruhl
directed by Margaret French
produced by special arrangement with Samuel French
Eurydice is an emotional retelling of the tragic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. When the soul of his young wife Eurydice dies suddenly, Orpheus must travel to Hades and save her. In Ruhl's version, however, the story focuses on Eurydice as she navigates the Underworld and reunites with her father. When faced with the choice, will she return to her life on earth with Orpheus or will she choose to stay below with the father she loved and lost so long ago?
