Steering Committee
Theatre@First is part of the Massachusetts Community Theatre Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer troupe that relies on the work of our community members to accomplish our mission. Our regular operations are overseen by a Steering Committee that meets monthly to hear reports on current productions and projects, discuss and vote on proposals for future productions, hear reports from officers, and set policy for our organization – all (usually) in less than an hour!
All are welcome to attend and participate in Steering Committee meetings. We especially encourage members of underrepresented and/or marginalized communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ-identified community members, to join us.
Everyone has a voice at Steering Committee. Anyone who has attended two of the previous three meetings is eligible to vote on proposals.
Nominations for officer positions happen in April and May, with elections occurring during our June meeting. Anyone with Steering Committee voting privileges as well as any community member that has participated in a T@F production over the prior twelve months and has their name in a show's program is eligible to cast a vote for officers.

Steering Committee usually occurs on the second Sunday of the month starting at 5pm, and takes place at a private home or (in the age of coronavirus) online. To find out when our next meeting is, check out our events calendar.
