Theatre@First is proud to present Francis Beaumont's comedy The Knight of the Burning Pestle. This almost forgotten Elizabethan gem combines the best of Shakespearean-style farce with a modern, meta flavor. Recently performed at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London!

Special Performances

Thursday, April 30th at 8pm — Autism-Friendly Night! The house lights will be left on, scene-by-scene write-ups will be available, and other adjustments made to facilitate enjoyment of our show by theatre-goers on the autism spectrum or who have other sensory issues. A Quiet Room with streaming audio of the performance will be available elsewhere in the building and trained volunteers will be on hand to assist with audience needs.

Saturday, May 2nd at 2pm — Parent-Friendly Show! Childcare will be provided during the performance. Bring the kids to see the show or play upstairs with our experienced caregivers while adults enjoy the show on their own! $5 for children under 12 — please select "Student" on the reservation form.

Knight of the Burning Pestle was presented at Unity Somerville, 6 William Street, Somerville.

The performance space is not wheelchair-accessible.

Parking on William St is by permit only. General parking is available on College Ave. Please read signs carefully to avoid ticketing.
