BirthRight

by Kira Rockwell

directed by Liz Adams

The year is 2050, in a near future dystopia America. In this America, women are forced to have their eggs removed and harvested once they have their first menstrual period. In order to have children, you must apply to the government to be gifted with one of your eggs. Falon and Lynx, after years of applying, have failed their last and final procreation interview. To make matters worse, Lynx's younger sister Robyn has forced herself into their lives by taking up residence in their home. In act two, Lynx is taken into custody by the government for charges of treason. Before they can retrieve Falon, she escapes and goes on the run to avoid getting her tubes tied with Robyn. On their journey it is revealed that, by some miracle Robyn is pregnant. The two women embark on a journey, with the help of their AI machine, to escape the government who seeks control of their bodies and save Lynx from execution.
