The play is set in New York City in the late 1990s. Sara is starting a new life; Callie is stuck in a rut. Their friendship leads them both to explore new possibilities, and ultimately to romance. But when their first date is interrupted by tragedy, Callie must decide whether she is finally ready to make a true commitment.
About the Director: Andrea Humez has directed a variety of full-length and shorter plays for Theatre@First, including Arms & the Man (2007), The Rimers of Eldritch (2008), Bare Bones: Two For the Seesaw (2011), and FirstWorks: That Night in the Field (2015). Other directing credits include The Importance of Being Earnest (Arlington Friends of the Drama, 2013) and Spike Heels (The Occasional Players, 2009). She has appeared onstage with Theatre@First in roles including Margaret Fuller in the 2006 and 2010 productions of The Margaret Ghost.

There will be a special session after the performance on Saturday, Sept 24, led by Dr. Kareem Khubchandani, Mellon Bridge Assistant Professor in Drama and Dance and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Tufts University.
Stop Kiss was presented at Unity Somerville, 6 William Street, Somerville.
The performance space is not wheelchair-accessible.
