An Intro to Producing a Show

Producers are key players in making our theatrical dreams a reality for our participants and audiences. But what does a producer do, anyway? If you're curious to learn more, join us online for our next Skill Sharpening Workshop: An Intro to Producing a Show.

T@F's Production Coordinator Stephanie Haddad will host an online session on the basics of producing shows, sharing lessons from her own producing experience, and offering advice on getting started. If you're interested in taking on a new challenge in the theatre world, we'd love to help you step confidently into this unique role.

About the Instructor: Stephanie Haddad has been producing shows since high school. Since her start with Theatre@First in 2015, she has worked on 20 mainstage shows as Publicity Lead and/or House Manager; produced three mainstage productions: Mourning Becomes Electra (2017), She Kills Monsters (2018), and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged] (2019); produced three Giving@First festivals; and directed Festival@First 10: Heroes & Villains. Stephanie served as T@F's Publicity Coordinator for four years before stepping into her new role as Production Coordinator last year.

Stephanie really likes color coding notes with highlighters and post-its, carrying clipboards, and making spreadsheets. Although these interests are not required to be a Producer, they certainly don't hurt!
