Putting on a show requires time, dedication, and hard work. Building a set, rigging up lights, sewing costumes, learning lines... these are all key steps to creating amazing theatre. All your incredible work deserves to be seen by a sold-out audience, doesn't it? Without publicity, that might not happen.
Even so, show publicity is often overlooked, misunderstood, or undervalued. In this Skill Sharpening Workshop, T@F's Production Coordinator Stephanie Haddad will discuss publicity basics, share her personal experiences, and outline successful strategies to fill seats at every show.
About the Instructor: Stephanie Haddad has been producing shows since high school. Since her start with Theatre@First in 2015, she has worked on 20 mainstage shows as Publicity Lead and/or House Manager; produced four mainstage productions: Mourning Becomes Electra (2017), She Kills Monsters (2018), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged] (2019), and Antigone & Medea (2020); produced four Giving@First festivals; and directed Festival@First 10: Heroes & Villains. Stephanie served as T@F's Publicity Coordinator for four years before stepping into her new role as Production Coordinator in 2019.
